Candy Corn Coffins

Hello! 😀

Candy Corn Coffins

I realized that I haven’t created any candy corn nail art this year oO so here are some Candy Corn Coffin nails! 😀

Candy Corn Coffins

That random bit of thread is really annoying, the more I look at it, the more it looks like a creepy spider leg :/ Ugh!

The polishes and other stuff I used are

  • Messy Mansion – MM11
  • Bundle Monster – BM-402
  • Hit The Bottle – Black
  • Sally Hansen – Lite
  • Rimmel – Shirley Temple
  • Sinful Colours – Snow Me White
  • Colour Club – Antiquated
  • Seche Vite

 Candy Corn Coffins

Starting with a white base I used Lite, Shirley Temple and Snow Me White for the gradient, then using Hit the bottle black for the coffins.

The little coffins are from Plate MM11 the larger coffin is from BM-402. then using a tiny brush I added the gold detail with Antiquated.

Then finished it off with a layer of topcoat!

I hope you have a lovely Halloween weekend! 😀

Christmas Nails!

Hello! 🙂

I realized that I haven’t done any actual Christmas nail art this year! I have done Snowflakes and some in Red and Gold but nothing really Christmasy!

So here are my Christmas nails!

Christmas Nail tree pudding reindeer candles

Christmas Nails

This is what I used

  • Sinful Colors – Snow Me White
  • Butter London – Come To Bed Red
  • Revlon – Hot For Chocolate
  • Models Own – Sardonyx
  • Color Club – Antiquated
  • OPI – Its All San Andreas’s Fault
  • Color Club – Black-ish
  • Revlon – Emerald City
  • Seche Vite
  • Konad SP Black
  • Stamping Plates HD05 and QA86
  • Nail Studs
  • Striping Tape

This really took a long time to finish, but most of that was getting all the striping tape lined up.

For the stripy nails I started with Snow Me White, then the striping tape and a couple of coats of Come To Bed Red, it really was quite bumpy so I added two coats of top coat to even it out.

The tree is Emerald City, and some nail studs! The little reindeer is from plate HD05 and the snowflakes are from plate QA86. I did actually double stamp the snowflakes with Antiquated and Konad Black but the gold doesn’t really show up over the stripy background :/

On my ring and middle fingers I applied two coats of Sardonyx this polish is from the Models Own Velvet Goth collection so it dries matte, I un-matted it with a coat of Seche Vite.

For the candles on my ring finger I used Snow Me White, Antiquated and Black-ish, I painted them with a little paintbrush.

The Christmas Pud on my middle finger is a mixture of Hot For Chocolate, Its All San Andreas’s Fault and Black-ish. I used Its All San Andreas’s Fault for some added texture. For the cream I again used Snow Me White the Holly is Emerald City and Come To Bed Red! I didn’t add any more topcoat over my pudding, so it would keep it’s texture! 🙂

31DC2014 Day 5 Blue

turquoise Nails

Turquoise Nails

After having a quick hunt about on the interwebs for blue nails trying to get some inspiration I came across loads of pictures of Turquoise gem stone nails, and this is my attempt at them! 🙂

For this I started with two coats of Air-kiss from Filthy Gorgeous which is a lovely mid blue cream.

Turquoise Water Spotted Nails

Then when it was dry I used cling film (saran wrap) to apply Catwalk Couture from Seventeen which is a slightly paler blue cream polish, along with a couple of drops each of Golden from Revlon and Antiquated from Color Club, and a tiny bit of Blue-Topia a dark blue jelly also from Color Club I put them all onto a plate and swirled the polishes around a little then gently dabbed the mixture onto my nails.

Then using Twilight from Filthy Gorgeous (which is also a really good black for water marbling)  I used the water spotting technique to apply the black, and I should probably stop using my expensive perfume to do water spotting, but my nails smell lovely after lol!

Then I used Color Club Topcoat, and unfortunately ended up with a little bit of dragging on my thumb :/

I’m definitely going to be doing this again, hopefully when I can keep my nail art on for longer than 24 hours! 😀

Vampy Valentine’s Nail Art

I couldn’t wait to do some nail art over the Real Color Nail polish from my last post you can find that Here. The colour is so perfect for a Valentine’s Day Mani!

Valentines Day Nail Art

Valentines Day Nail Art

I started by making the gradient on my Thumb, Ring and Middle fingers, for that I used Revlon Black Magic. For my Index finger and Pinky I stamped using Messy Mansion Plate MM16 William Morris and friends, you can find that Here.

I also used an image from this plate for my Ring finger, I used Color Club Antiquated for that, it looks more silver than gold in the photos :/

For my Thumb and Middle finger I used Moyou Pro Plate 07 XL

As a valentines day Mani goes I think that this one is really rather dark and vampy! 😀

But I’m not really a pastels kind of girl! 🙂

Foiled Again! Stamped Peacock Feathers.

Foil Peacock

I started this with a base of two coats of Black Magic from Revlon. For the stamping I used a combination, of Cold Metal (blue), Perfect Mol-Ten (green), Hot Like Lava (pink) and Antiquated (gold) all from the foil range from Color Club.

I put a drop of each polish on the image and and poked them all around with my scraper until the stamping image was covered, before removing the excess, I did mess up a couple of times as I wasn’t quick enough transferring the image to my nail. The Color Club Foil polishes dry really fast, I didn’t even have the chance to line up the image :/

This is the first time I have tried stamping with more than two colours! I really like how it turned out 😀 even tho it was a pain to do!

The stamping plate I used is Messy Mansion Birdie plate MM14, which is available here.

Foiled again Peacock

I finished it off with a coat of color club top coat, The top coat is not too bad, it applied nicely and importantly didn’t mess up my stamping and it didn’t shrink…

After writing this I’m starting to think that this top coat might actually be rather good rather than not too bad! Lol.

It’s just I’m so used to using Seche Vite now that any other top coat lacks the thick glassy finish and seems to take for ever to dry! :/ Maybe I should start trying out other brands of topcoat, so is Poshe any good? What about HKgirl? 🙂
