I have been making stamped decals again! 😀 this time I used images from two of my Moyou plates, 01 and 02 from the Suki Collection.
The polishes I used!
- Barielle Shades – Grape Escape
- Color Club – Ulterior Motive
- Revlon – Sweet Revenge (the pink one from the duo)
- Barry M – Shocking Pink
- Sally Hansen – Ivory Skull
- Revlon – Calla Lily
- Konad Special Polish – Black
- Color Club – Topcoat
Pink and Purple Cherry Blossom
I started off by making the flowers, you can find how I made them here.
I used Grape Escape and sponged on a little Ulterior Motive on the tips as the base colour, when that was dry I applied the flowers using the Color Club Topcoat like glue! 😀
When that was all dry, I applied a couple more coats of topcoat to seal all of my decals in! In some places on my nails there must be at least 6 layers of polish, it feels really thick like Gel! It took ages to dry, about half an hour
I really liked making the cherry blossom decals, even tho the tiny flowers where a bit fiddly to paint! The time it took to get them all on my nails was rather a lot longer than I would have liked, then getting them to stick was a pain! I think that it’s because I made them to thick, but I’m going to have to try out some other clear polishes to find the best one for decal making! 😀
This is still quite a new technique to me, practice makes perfect and all that! 😀

Has it really been over a week since my last post? Ooops! I guess I was so wrapped up in Christmas and other stuff that I didn’t even notice!
Anyway I hope your Christmas has been wonderful and filled with shiny things!
For this I started with two coats of Barielle Shades Grape Escape, which is a lovely purple creme followed by two coats of Orly Can’t Be Tamed, Large purple hex and smaller silver hex glitter in a clear base. It’s a really pretty polish but I found that it needed a lot of dabbing to get an even coat of the glitter.
This ended up as a stamped skittle mani because I just couldn’t decide on what I wanted to do!
I used Bundle Monster CYO set, BM-408 for my Thumb, BM-412 on my Middle Finger, BM-411 for the index finger (mutters about the image not being straight) and BM-423 for my ring and pinky fingers! and finished it off with a thick coat of Seche Vite.

Here is part two of my experiments with crackle polish. Part one you can find here! 😀
Layered Crackle Polish
I have to say, I really like this Layered look, I started with two coats of Black Magic from Revlon, then one coat of Silver Shatter from OPI, then a coat of SV.
The topcoat here is really important, or the next layer of crackle polish will turn your nail into a horrible mess! (that happened to me the first time I tried this lol) you could even use a glitter polish for a bit more sparkle or even a gelly polish if you want to change to look of the crackle! 🙂
I am definitely going to be using this layering technique again!
Crackle Polish With Stripes
Crackle Polish Stripes
Originally I was going to add this into the my first lot of experiments, but I didn’t, so here it is now! 😀
The silver base colour is Night Moves from Barielle shades, then I added one coat of Super Bass Shatter from OPI, then a coat of 60 second fast dry top coat from color club. I used tape to mask off the stripes then Black Magic from Revlon, after removing the tape I applied another layer of topcoat.
I think that this may look better with thinner stripes (and a bit more care than I used while cutting the tape) I did find that the black polish peeled up with the tape which I found a little odd, as I took the tape off while the black polish was still wet. I think it has something to do with the topcoat.
The base colour is Black Magic, the tip is OPI Silver Shatter.
I don’t like this so much, the crackle polish is a nightmare to get into a reasonably strait line for the french tip, I tried this 3 times before giving up
Crackle polish Background With Flower Stamp
I used the same polishes as before for this, Black Magic Super Bass Shatter. I used two layers of SV to smooth over the crackles before stamping. The polish I used for the stamp is Masquerading from Color Club. The stamping plate is P21 but I actually have no idea what brand it is
Crackle polish as a base for stamping works really well! and this is another technique I will be using again 😀

For this I started with a sponged gradient of Blackened Bleu a black jelly with blue and green glitter from Barielle Shades, Ciao Bella which is the dark blue shimmer with blue glitter and Gorgeous a teal metallic both from Sinful colors.
The stamping plate is BM-401 from Bundle Monster.
I used Konad special stamping polish in black for the image and a coat of Seche Vite

I have had a crazy few days! I have finally got an Allotment! Yay! 😀 but it’s really overgrown :s I think it’s going to take a huge amount of work to get it to the point where I can start growing stuff and I dread to think about what all that is going to do to my nails!
For my nails today I started with three coats of Wanna Samba? from Barielle Shades which is a lovely silvery duo-chrome, My photos seem to only show the silver/green tones, so you’ll have to take my word on the pink and purple 🙂
The Black Is konad special polish and the stamping plate I used is Messy Mansion Plate MM09 I finished it off with a thick coat of Seche Vite.
I love how this looks a bit like wrapping paper! 😀

After a busy day yesterday I now have a Facebook Page and a page on Google+ 😀 Setting those up took rather a lot longer than I thought, so I ended up not having enough time to write anything after doing these cute silver owls!
Silver Little owls
For this I started with a sponged gradient of Revlon – Black Magic, Maybelline – Couture Grey, Sally Hansen – Pumice and Nina Ultra Pro – French White.
For the stamping I used Moyou Suki Collection 01 with Barielle shades Night Moves and finished it off with a coat of Color Club 60 second topcoat.
I used the same part of the Moyou plate for the Glitter owls in my first post!
This was a nightmare to photograph, my poor camera was absolutely hating it, unfortunately the photographs don’t show all of the detail 😦 so you’ll have to take my word on how amazing this looks lol!
