Dotty Watermarble Nail Art

Hey Everyone 🙂

Dotty Watermarble Nail Art

My nails today where a bit of an experiment, I needed to something to take my mind off something rather upsetting that happened yesterday.

But nails first! I’ll say a little about what happened at the end of this post.

Dotty Watermarble Nail Art

I started off with a simple black and white french tip, I used A England Camelot and SinfulColors Snow Me White. Then using a large dotting tool I added the first layer of dots along the line of the french tip, then using a medium sized dotting tool I added the next lot of dots. After they had dried I applied a thick layer of Seche Vite.

For the watermarble I used OPI Color Paints. Magenta Muse, Purple Perspective and Turquoise Aesthetic. Then I finished it off with a coat of Illamasqua Matte Topcoat.

This mani ended up being way better than I was expecting! But you could get the same effect by stamping over a watermarble lol.

My unhappy news (I’m not going to be offended if you want to stop reading now).

I had to have one of my Ratties euthanized yesterday 😦 Wednesday night he lost the ability to stand and started having seizures.

It my vet said that it looked likely that he had a very aggressive brain tumor, and that his symptoms would only get worse.

I know having him pts was the kindest thing to do, but I’m still shocked at how quickly it happened. Up until Wednesday he was one of the biggest, strongest, healthiest, bouncy ratties that lived here with me.

It’s very sad but I know he’s not in pain, and that he’s had the best life that I could provide.

Sleep well Mr. Seth. I’m going to miss you little buddy.

Pick and Mix Blue Flowers

Hello! 🙂

blue white and silver flowers

For todays pick and mix challenge I have used both prompts! Pale Blue and Flowers! 😀

medium size dotting tool

For this look I used

  • Azure – Rimmel London
  • Tea Bird – Filthy Gorgeous
  • Snow Me White – Sinful Colors
  • Oyster Bar – Sally Hansen, Triple Shine
  • Matte Finisher – E.L.F
  • Seche Vite
  • Medium Dotting Tool
  • Fine Nail Art Brush

Over the two coats of azure, I applied Snow Me White to the tips of my nails, then I used Oyster Bar to cover the edge (I didn’t use any tip guides so the lines where a bit wobbly).

For the flowers I used a medium sized dotting tool with some more Azure and Snow Me white, then a little dot of Tea Bird in the center.

I then finished it off with a coat of Seche Vite, then when that had dried a coat of Matte Finisher.

China Glaze - I'd Melt For You and Morgan Taylor - New Year New Blue

China Glaze – I’d Melt For You and Morgan Taylor – New Year New Blue

For this I used China Glaze I’d Melt For You and Morgan Taylor New Year New Blue I picked up both of these from my local Sallys. They where reduced… How could I refuse? lol

I applied two coats of New Year New Blue, this is the first Morgan Taylor polish I have tried, and I love it! the brush, the polish formula and the drying time are all perfect!

I’d Melt For You looks like it will be an amazing stamper, it dries really quickly too!

Hi! 😀

Stormy Nails

Stormy Nails

Here are my stormy nails for this weeks pick and mix challenge! I chose the three dark colours from this weeks two prompts.

Nouveau, Strap On Your Moon Boots And Voodoo You Do.

Nouveau, Strap On Your Moon Boots And Voodoo You Do.

I started out with a couple of coats of  Voodoo You Do, a dark metallic grey from Color Club. then using Nouveau from Seche, Strap On Your Moon Boots from China Glaze, and some more Voodoo You Do along with a large dotting tool to create the overlapping clouds!

This really is incredibly easy, just have to remember to let the dotty clouds dry before adding the next layer 🙂

Ruby Wing Dotticure

Hi!

Today I have a Ruby Wing colour changing dotticure to show you!

Ruby Wing Crowd Surf

Ruby Wing Crowd Surf

I picked this bright pink one up in my local Sally’s and the shade is called Crowd Surf.

I applied two coats of Crowd Surf over my usual base coat, the formula for this polish is lovely and it dries really quickly which is always a bonus!

For the dots I used a medium dotting tool with Barry M Black, Orly Velvet Rope and Poke from Illamasqua.

I really thought that it was only going to change colour a little bit. I was really surprised that it actually changes to much! I really like the dark purple shade!
