Filthy Gorgeous With Black Holographic Accent!

I have shiny purple nails to show you today! As well as my first attempt at individual glitter placement! ๐Ÿ˜€

The purple creme polish is from a brand called Filthy Gorgeous, the shade is called Pulp!

Black Holographic Glitter is so shiny!

Black Holographic Glitter is so shiny!

Pulp is a really nice dark plum, I found the formula to be a quite thin and sheer, but the coverage was ok after three coats.ย  It’s very glossy and dried reasonably quickly but it could probably have done with a fourth coat.

The bottle is really cute! (sorry about the terrible picture)

For my accent nail I used two thick coats of Black Magic from Revlon, while it was still wet I used a damp toothpick to place individual bits of the black holographic glitter onto the wet polish. It really didn’t take as long as I thought it would, it was only about 5 minutes! I think that if I had done all of my nails like this it would have taken ages, especially on my right hand lol!

After the polish was dry I applied a coat of Seche Vite, then I carefully filed away the scratchy bits of glitter that where poking over the edge of my nail and added some more topcoat to seal the filled edge!

Blue Leopard French Tip!

Here’s my Blue Leopard French Tip nails I painted a couple of days ago!

Blue Leopard French Tip

Blue Leopard

I used Revlon Black Magic as the base colour, then using my trusty french tip guides I stamped the leopard print on tips of my nails, I find that this is much easier than trying to get french tip shaped stamps lined up!

The blue polish I used is Cold Metal from Color Club. It’s amazing for stamping! ๐Ÿ˜€ then I added the sparkly rhinestones to my ring finger I used tweezers to position them in a dab of wet topcoat.

I finished off my nails with a coat of Seche Vite!

Vampy Valentine’s Nail Art

I couldn’t wait to do some nail art over the Real Color Nail polish from my last post you can find that Here. The colour is so perfect for a Valentine’s Day Mani!

Valentines Day Nail Art

I started by making the gradient on my Thumb, Ring and Middle fingers, for that I used Revlon Black Magic. For my Index finger and Pinky I stamped using Messy Mansion Plate MM16 William Morris and friends, you can find that Here.

I also used an image from this plate for my Ring finger, I used Color Club Antiquated for that, it looks more silver than gold in the photos :/

For my Thumb and Middle finger I used Moyou Pro Plate 07 XLย

As a valentines day Mani goes I think that this one is really rather dark and vampy! ๐Ÿ˜€

But I’m not really a pastels kind of girl! ๐Ÿ™‚

Art Deco Inspired Taped Nails!

Art Deco Taped Nails

I used a lot of sticky stuff for this look! Ring reinforcements, french tip guides and striping tape! In hindsight I really should have completed one nail at a time, I ended up covered in bits of striping tape, I even found some in my hair!

The base colour is Strap On Your Moon Boots from China Glaze, and I used Black Magic from Revlon for the detail.

I used topcoat to stick on the studs! and another coat to finish it of, The color Club topcoat did dull the Holo effect of the polish a little, But other than that I really love how this turned out!

Stand Back! I’m Going To Do SCIENCE!

I’m not really going to do science, just some science inspired nails ๐Ÿ˜€

The plate I used today is from Messy Mansion, its plate MM25 and you can find it right here. ๐Ÿ˜€

Science Nails

Science Nails!

I started by painting my thumb and ring finger with two coats of Revlon Black Magic

On my other fingers I added a coat of French White from Nina Pro with two coats of Barry M Acid Yellow over the top,ย  I used the coat of white polish to make the yellow really glow!

When that was all dry I topped it off with a coat of Barielle Shades Stardust for some sparkles and then and then a thin layer of topcoat.

For the stamping I used Barielle Shades night moves for the silver and Konad Special Stamping Polish in Black for the images over the yellow.

Then a coat of color club topcoat to seal in the design, there was a tiny bit of streaking form the konad polish :/

I didn’t really like this when I had finished it :/ I think it was because of the colour and that I ended up using a lot of polish it felt very thick :/

But now that I’m looking at the photographs I really like it! ๐Ÿ™‚

Black and Blue Gradient… Or The Unfinished Nails!

Something rather strange happened today… I was planning on creating a stamped gradient but I did the sponging and my nails where so pretty that I just couldn’t bring myself to stamp over them! oO

Blue Black Gradient

I started with two coats of Black Magic from Revlon, and made the gradient with Sally Hansen Diamond Strength in Pure Midnight and Cold Metal from Color Club.

It’s so shimmery and sparkly! ๐Ÿ˜€
