Purple Dotted Gradient Nail Art Using Illamasqua And Color Club

Here is a purple dotted gradient rather than a gradient with dots…

Purple dotted gradient

I started with a couple of coats of Secret agent from Color Club, then starting with the darkest colour I added the dots, more at the base of my nail.

The black is Vamp Polish from Eyeko, the other purples are Baptiste and poke both from Illamasqua.

I finished it off with a coat of fast dry topcoat from color club, the color club top coat dried quickly but it’s not as shiny as Seche Vite and I have noticed that the polish chips quite a bit faster and tends to drag the polish a bit more :/

Glittery Galaxy Nails

Here is another first for me! Galaxy Nails! 😀

I used loads of nail polishes for this, I started with a base of Vamp Polish From Eyeko, then using a tiny bit of sponge I added a little bit of Blackened Bleu from Barielle shades and Alias from color club. Blackened Bleu is a lovely black jelly with dark blue and turquoise glitter, Alias is a dark blue jelly with purple duo-chrome glitter, it’s really pretty!

At this point it looked like a patchy gradient, after it had dried I added Gorgeous from sinfulcolors this polish is a bright turquoise metallic with a light gold sheen and secret agent from color club which is a light purple metallic polish. I put a drop of each polish next to each other onto an old plate and picked up both colours with my trusty bit of makeup sponge, and added a tiny bit to each nail.

when it was all dry I used Night Moves from Barielle shades for the stars, and the fine holo glitter is Sparkling silver from no.7

I finished it with a coat of fast dry topcoat from color club.

China Glaze and Barry M Dotted Gradient Nails

My new Dotting tools turned up in the post today, along with my new set of Nail art Brushes! Yay!

So here is a Dotty Gradient!

For this I used Stella from China Glaze, This polish is a dark metallic purple red, and Black from Barry m.

I started with one coat of Stella, then used a sponge to create the gradient, this took two coats, then I used one of the medium sized dotting tools to add the dots, I finished it off with some fast drying topcoat from Color club.

Chit Chat Glitter Nail Polish Swatches

Chit Chat Glitter Polishes

Chit Chat Glitter Polishes

While I was wandering about in town yesterday, I came across these for the bargain price if £1 each! 😀

I used a base of black on black by sinfulcolors so that the glitters show up really clearly 🙂  followed by two coats of the glitter polish

Chit Chat Pink Glitter

Chit Chat Pink Glitter

This pink glitter polish is really pretty, I found this polish a bit tricky to apply, the formula is a little bit thin, but the amount of glitter makes up for that!

Chit Chat Silver Glitter

Chit Chat Silver Glitter

I really don’t know what it is about my camera that makes it hate silver glitter so much… So sorry about the rubbish picture, it was the best one I could get!

There isn’t as much glitter in the formula for this polish as there was in the pink glitter, and it did take a bit of digging about in the bottle to get a good amount of glitter onto the brush. But it is easy to apply, and it definitely has the disco ball look! 🙂

Chit Chat Ariel Blue Holographic Polish

Chit Chat Ariel Blue Holographic Polish

This is a really pretty polish! I really like it over the black.

Chit Chat Violet Glitter

Chit Chat Violet Glitter

out of all four polishes, this one has the most glitter, It is a really pretty blue toned purple, I think this one will be perfect for a glitter gradient over a lighter coloured polish!

I have found that some glitter polishes tend to dry slightly textured or a bit lumpy and need a lot of top coat! but all of these polishes dry very smooth.  The drying time for the formula is a bit on the slow side, but for the price I paid for these polishes they are amazing value! 😀

Glow In The Dark Halloween Spooky Bat Nail Art

My bottle of Ghoulish Glow from china glaze arrived today! And I couldn’t wait to try it out!

the design for my nails is very similar to the Halloween nails I posted a couple of weeks ago… But with a lot more bats! 😀

For the base gradient I used Secret Agent which is a purple metallic and Masquerading which is a lovely silvery teal, both of these polishes are from color club. I then applied two coats of Ghoulish Glow, In the bottle the polish looks like a pale cream colour, luckily it didn’t affect the base colours too much, it just made them look a little foggy. I used Konad special polish in black for the stamping, then I finished off with a coat of Seche Vite.

I am really surprised about how well Ghoulish Glow works 🙂

Lightning Strike Nails

Earlier on there was a thunderstorm almost directly above where I live! Woohoo! Inspiration! 😀 So here are my Lightning strike nails

Lightning Strike Nail Art

Lightning Strike Nail Art

I used  Greige Gardens and Ivory skull both from Sally Hansen, Black on Black from Sinfulcolors, Baptiste from Illamasqua and cosmic dust from china glaze!

I started out with a coat of Black on Black, then sponged the dark purple Baptiste making sure not to cover the whole nail, after that had dried I used Greige gardens and Cosmic Dust to give the impression of clouds.

For the lightning I used Ivory Skull and a fine brush!

then sponged in a tiny bit more of the white Ivory Skull over the lightning, which worked perfectly up until my little finger nail :/ I think the sponge must have dried out too much or I pressed to hard…

I really love how this looks and I will try this again, maybe with blues and greys or different shades of silver or red and black for Halloween!
