Chit Chat Glitter Nail Polish Swatches

Chit Chat Glitter Polishes

Chit Chat Glitter Polishes

While I was wandering about in town yesterday, I came across these for the bargain price if ยฃ1 each! ๐Ÿ˜€

I used a base of black on black by sinfulcolors so that the glitters show up really clearly ๐Ÿ™‚ย  followed by two coats of the glitter polish

Chit Chat Pink Glitter

This pink glitter polish is really pretty, I found this polish a bit tricky to apply, the formula is a little bit thin, but the amount of glitter makes up for that!

Chit Chat Silver Glitter

I really don’t know what it is about my camera that makes it hate silver glitter so much… So sorry about the rubbish picture, it was the best one I could get!

There isn’t as much glitter in the formula for this polish as there was in the pink glitter, and it did take a bit of digging about in the bottle to get a good amount of glitter onto the brush. But it is easy to apply, and it definitely has the disco ball look! ๐Ÿ™‚

Chit Chat Ariel Blue Holographic Polish

Chit Chat Ariel Blue Holographic Polish

This is a really pretty polish! I really like it over the black.

Chit Chat Violet Glitter

out of all four polishes, this one has the most glitter, It is a really pretty blue toned purple, I think this one will be perfect for a glitter gradient over a lighter coloured polish!

I have found that some glitter polishes tend to dry slightly textured or a bit lumpy and need a lot of top coat! but all of these polishes dry very smooth.ย  The drying time for the formula is a bit on the slow side, but for the price I paid for these polishes they are amazing value! ๐Ÿ˜€

China Glaze Glitter Goblin Nail Stamp!

For this I used three coats of Glitter Goblin from china glaze for the base colour. It is a lovely copper and silver holographic glitter polish, Glitter Goblin is from the 2012 Wicked Halloween collection, it’s not a new polish but I really like it ๐Ÿ™‚ The stamp image is from Moyou XL Suki Collection 06. For the stamping I used Konadย  Special polish in Black, then finished it with a coat of Seche Vite.

Glittery! :)

Glittery! ๐Ÿ™‚

I think that the stamp would look better over a creme/metallic polish, it’s really quite detailed and it unfortunately seems to get lost in all the glitter! ๐Ÿ˜ฆ I think next time I’ll use a less detailed image, maybe thick tiger stripes! ๐Ÿ˜€

Glow In The Dark Halloween Spooky Bat Nail Art

My bottle of Ghoulish Glow from china glaze arrived today! And I couldn’t wait to try it out!

the design for my nails is very similar to the Halloween nails I posted a couple of weeks ago… But with a lot more bats! ๐Ÿ˜€

For the base gradient I used Secret Agent which is a purple metallic and Masquerading which is a lovely silvery teal, both of these polishes are from color club. I then applied two coats of Ghoulish Glow, In the bottle the polish looks like a pale cream colour, luckily it didn’t affect the base colours too much, it just made them look a little foggy. I used Konad special polish in black for the stamping, then I finished off with a coat of Seche Vite.

I am really surprised about how well Ghoulish Glow works ๐Ÿ™‚

Pink Silver Glitter MoYou Suki Collection Nail Stamp! (And a Challenge To Myself)

I have given myself a little challenge, well not so much of a challenge maybe more of an ultimatum…

I own a quite a few stamping plates from MoYou. I really like them, They are really good quality and the images are fantastic! The XL size is perfect, unfortunately the standard size is a little to small, but I find that with most stamping plates. Maybe my nails are just to long for them ๐Ÿ™‚

I realized that I only use a couple of images from each plate, so, my challenge to myself is to use the images I wouldn’t usually choose, or ones that I haven’t used, and at least three from each plate! and when I have done that then I will buy some more! ๐Ÿ˜€ And by some I mean the whole Mother Nature Collection which I absolutely love!

This is my first one ๐Ÿ˜€

Moyou Suki Collection Plate XL 06

The image I have chosen is from Moyou XL Suki Collection 06 I haven’t used this image before (not even to try out) because I think it looks a bit like an orange or maybe a grapefruit slice! If you know what the image is please let me know!

For this I started out with two coats of pink silver glitter, from Barry M, with two coats of Frilly Knickers from Butter London on top. This picture unfortunately doesn’t show anywhere near how sparkly the polish is. For the stamping I used Konad Special Polish in black. Then as ever finished it off with a coat of Seche Vite.

Now that I actually have this image on my nails I actually quite like it! ๐Ÿ˜€

Lightning Strike Nails

Earlier on there was a thunderstorm almost directly above where I live! Woohoo! Inspiration! ๐Ÿ˜€ So here are my Lightning strike nails

Lightning Strike Nail Art

I usedย  Greige Gardens and Ivory skull both from Sally Hansen, Black on Black from Sinfulcolors, Baptiste from Illamasqua and cosmic dust from china glaze!

I started out with a coat of Black on Black, then sponged the dark purple Baptiste making sure not to cover the whole nail, after that had dried I used Greige gardens and Cosmic Dust to give the impression of clouds.

For the lightning I used Ivory Skull and a fine brush!

then sponged in a tiny bit more of the white Ivory Skull over the lightning, which worked perfectly up until my little finger nail :/ I think the sponge must have dried out too much or I pressed to hard…

I really love how this looks and I will try this again, maybe with blues and greys or different shades of silver or red and black for Halloween!

Silver and Black Gradient Half Moon Nails.

Silver and Black Half Moon Nails

Silver and Black Half Moon Nails

For this I used three polishes, Coalest Day of the year and Night Moves Both from Barielle Shades and Black on Black from sinfulcolors (I really need to get another bottle soon)

I started with two coats of Night Moves which is a lovely bright silver foil. after waiting for it to dry, I used my trusty Ring binder hole reinforcements to create the half moon shape.

Then using Black on Black, Coalist Day and a bit more of the night moves I sponged on the gradient. this took three thin coats. while the polish was still wet I carefully removed the hole reinforcements with tweezers, then applied a coat of Seche Vite!
