Thoroughly Unfestive Tropical Fish Manicure!

Hello! 🙂

Today I have some thoroughly unfestive tropical fish nail art to share with you 🙂

Tropical Fish

I recently replanted my fish tank with loads of plants! It looks really nice now and my fish look really happy (well as happy as fish can look)!

For this I started with a couple of coats of Lumin-iceant from Color Club, I really like this polish, it’s a blue toned silver foil polish and it’s opaque in one coat.

MM21 and MM09

I used two stamping plates from Messy Mansion, MM21 for the scales and MM09 for the fish, along with konad special polish in black.

For the leadlighting chose to use some tinted polishes that I mixed myself, you can find the post about them Here. I used my dark blue, purple and red ones.

Gold and Red Chevrons

Hi!

It’s been ages since my last post! Sorry about that!

Before I run out of time here is my Pick and Mix Mani for this week! This weeks prompts are Red, Gold and Chevron.

Taras Talons Zombie Blood and Revlon Golden

For this I used Zombie Blood from this years Halloween range from the lovely Taras Talons, It really is a glorious red jelly! The green holographic glitters are wonderful.

The gold polish is from Revlon and it’s called Golden.

very festive colours

I didn’t want to add to much gold to this mani, Zombie Blood Is so lovely I didn’t want to cover it up!

So much glitter! 😀

I applies three coats of the red polish then when it had dried I used striping tape to create the Chevrons and the triangle shapes and carefully added two coats of golden.

This really is such a festive look!

Snowflake Glitter Gradient

Today I have some more icy snow inspired nail to share with you!

For this I used

  • Filthy Gorgeous – Prism

  • OPI – I Snow you Love Me
  • Illamasqua – Propaganda
  • Konad – SP Black
  • Stamping Plate HD05
  • Seche Vite Fast Dry Topcoat

I began with two coats of Chit Chat Silver Glitter over my usual base coat, then a couple of coats of Prism. Prism from Filthy Gorgeous has a clear base with scattered fine holographic glitter.

After that had dried I started fishing for glitter in the I snow you love me… I love the glitter in this polish, The suspension base, not so much, the texture really reminds me of uncooked egg white (shudders).

All this took such a long time to dry but when it eventually did, I added the Propaganda with a makeup sponge for the gradient.

The snowflakes are from stamping plate HD05.  Then I finished it of with a thick coat of Seche Vite!

Camouflage Nails

Hello! 🙂

Camouflage Nails

Camouflage Nails

The pick and mix prompt I have chosen for today is Camouflage!

I haven’t tried Camo nails before and I actually really like them! It’s a very easy technique so I’m definitely going to be doing this again 🙂

As it’s winter (not that it’s snowing here) I decided on using Arctic Camouflage colours!

Glittery Camo Nails

The polished I used are

  • Barielle – Out-Grey-Geous
  • Sally Hansen – Midnight In NY
  • China Glaze – Pelican Grey
  • China Glaze – Galactic Grey
  • ILNP – My Private Rainbow
  • Seche Vite – Topcoat

I started out with two coats of Out-Grey-Geous, when It was dry I applied Pelican Grey in squiggly lines and splodges with a thin brush, when the pale grey was completely dry I did the same with Galactic Grey, but overlapping the colours slightly. When I had applied the Midnight In NY I thought it wasn’t quite sparkly enough so I added a tiny bit of My Private Rainbow over the black.

It really was, bumpy and uneven by the time I had finished, so I added two layers of topcoat!

O.P.I Solitaire (and some random studs I found in my nail art box)

Hi!

I decided earlier this week that I really have to start going though my pile of untried polishes, as I have far to many!

OPI Solitaire

OPI Solitaire

So here is Solitaire from OPI! This is a pearly white textured polish with silver glitter, I think it looks a bit like snow!

I didn’t use any glue for applying the studs, I just used an orange stick to press them into the wet polish! This won’t last as long as using glue or using a strong top coat to attach them but it seems to work quite well.

There are two things about this polish that I wouldn’t usually like, it’s white and it’s textured, this is why it’s been in my untried pile for so long lol

Now it’s on my nails I think it looks rather festive! 🙂
