So, how did I get on with this product? As you can see from the picture, not amazingly well!

I followed the instructions on the packet, and I don’t know what was wrong, but the little tattoos did not want to stay where I put them.

I’ve never had to do fake tattoo herding before, hopefully it’s something I’ll not have to do again!

They just kept on lifting up at the edges, and then sticking to anything I tried to use to get them back to where they where supposed to be.

I have to say I’m not a fan of the shininess, maybe a little dab of translucent face powder would fix it. But then again my nail polish is matte which could be accentuating the glossiness.

The cuticle tattoos where really easy to remove, they came straight off when I washed my hands!

I have actually been putting off writing this post since last week, I don’t think I would have been so ummm diplomatic (lol) with my description of this product if I had written about it straight away.

Then it occurred to me (while I was typing) that these do have a redeeming use!

Nails Inc Paint Can Shoreditch Lane!

Hello! πŸ™‚

Ok I admit it, I just ran out to buy this!

Nails Inc Paint Can Shoreditch Lane

Spray on nail polish! I had to try it! πŸ˜€

Ln the spray can you get 50ml of product and the 2 in 1 is 5ml. I don’t know how many full manicures you’ll get from the can.

According to Nails Inc this is how to apply this spray in nail polish!

Step 1. This part is essential – you must apply a base coat, we suggest Paint Can’s Best Friend – the Nails inc 2 in 1 Base and Top coat. Allow to dry.

Or apply The Paint Can over your nail polish for a speedy colour change.

Step 2. Shake the Paint Can and from a distance of 10-15cm, spray the polish directly onto the nail area. (Cover and protect the surface you are spraying on to).

Step 3. For a longer lasting mani (for up to four days), apply a top coat. Allow to dry.

Step 4. With warm soapy water wash away any excess Paint Can polish from skin and cuticles. Or use a cleansing wipe when on the go.

You will be left with a perfectly applied manicure.

from these instructions the thing really got my attention is spraying it over the nail polish your already wearing… I think this is going to open up a whole new collection of nail art techniques!

Here are my (slightly stained) nails all prepped with the Nails Inc 2 in 1 and ready to go!

And here’s my nails and hands covered in spray paint!

Nails Inc Shoreditch Lane Paint Can

Hahaha there was So much mess!

I don’t know about the pink spray but if you are going to use the silver, make sure your not wearing anything that you mind getting a thin coating of sparkles over, it’s in my hair, over my clothes, the whole of my bathroom is slightly sparkly! Oops!

But I don’t really mind as I’m usually covered in glitter! πŸ˜€

This photo is without the topcoat! It really is a lovely chrome!

I have to say that the polish comes away from the skin really easily, I found it was even easier to remove by soaking my hand in warm water for a few minutes.

It was slightly more difficult to remove the polish from my cuticles, I has to scrape it away with an orange stick.

When I applied the 2 in 1 as topcoat something rather strange happened.

nails inc shoreditch lane

There was rather a lot of what I can only describe as antiquing, and there is also some cloudiness to the tips of my nails, like a matte french tip, interestingly this is the same problem I have with Out The Door topcoat on normal nail polish (which is why I don’t use it).

Then I tried applying Seche Vite.

Nails Inc Shoreditch Lane

There is still a little antiquing, it’s not as bad and there’s no odd matte tips!

You can find the silver Paint Can here Nails Inc Shoreditch Lane (UK Only)

This is a really fun product! and yes it does exactly what it says on the tin! For me I don’t know if it is any faster than using a normal one coat polish with base and topcoat, as it did take a little while to clean the polish from my skin. I think this will be an amazing product if you are not not so good at painting your dominant hand!

My final thoughts on the 2 in 1 makes a good base coat, not so much as a top coat with this silver can.

I really hope that Nails Inc release some more Paint Can colours!

Is spray on nail polish something you would consider using?

Halloween Monster Eyes and Some Candlewick Greens Waxy Goodness!

Hello! πŸ™‚

Halloween Monster Eyes

Sorry about the lack of posts last week, I managed to cut my finger :/ don’t worry, it’s on my dominant hand so there won’t be any gory pictures! And I’ve also have a cold (ugh, stoopid germs).

But now that I have dragged myself out of my sofa cocoon and polish remover isn’t really painful to use. I can share with you a two part post starting with these Monster Eyes! πŸ™‚

halloween monster eyes

For my monster eye nails I used

  • Revlon – Stiletto
  • Illamasqua – poke
  • Sally Hansen – Blue Streak
  • Barry M – Crystal Glaze
  • Seche Vite
  • Illamasqua – Matte Top Coat

Thinking about it I didn’t really think through the steps for making the eyes. So I think they do look a little messy round the edges.

The gradient is Poke and Blue Streak with a coat of Crystal Glaze over the top, then with a thin brush I added the eye shape using Stiletto.

In hindsight I should have used tape or something to mask off the eyes, It would have made the edges of the matte topcoat look a lot cleaner.

candlewick green sandalwood vanilla wax melt

A quick question… Have you seen a nail polish that looks like the picture above? If you have please let me know, as I want something like this on my nails right now πŸ™‚

As I’m sure you can tell the photograph isn’t nail polish, its wax! Which brings me on to the second part of my post!

I want to show you some wax melts from a really lovely little company here in the UK. It’s not often that I come across wax melts that I’m really impressed with, but these honestly are amazing! Before I carry on I should let you know that I purchased these myself!

I have pet rats, at the moment I have 8 of the whiskery critters in my living room, and like any pets they can get really rather stinky, so I do end up looking for lovely room fragrances quite often.

These wax melts are so loaded with fragrance that one quarter of a pot is enough to scent the whole of my apartment all day!

If my nostrils could sing with happiness they would be, and not in a creepy old man nose whistle way!

The Candlewick Greens Shop is right here if you would like to have a look πŸ™‚ Β http://www.candlewick-greens.appspot.com/index.html

candlewick green wax tart melt autumn wreath

Autumn Wreath is the melt I have in my warmer right now, it’s so nice, slightly spiced apples and crunchy leaves!

There is a facebook group here https://www.facebook.com/groups/740123009371304/?fref=ts

it’s the best place to fins out about the restocks and upcoming new scents πŸ˜€

candlewick green wax melt tart gingerbread latte

Gingerbread Latte smells just like the drink, I have found that some coffee/creamy scented candles and melts (from a well known brand that happens to start with the letter Y) have this nasty chemical plastic smell. But not these, they smell heavenly!

Another wonderful thing about these wax melts is that most of them are covered in glitter and shimmers! Yay for glitter πŸ˜€

The best way to order these lovely melts is through the ready to ship page. http://www.candlewick-greens.appspot.com/readytoship.html

candlewick green wax melt sticky toffee pumpkin waffle

Sticky Toffee Pumpkin Waffle smells so amazing I want to eat it! But I’m sure it wouldn’t taste nearly as good lol!

Out of all the different scent collections on offer at candlewick Greens I have to say my favorite is the Mystical ones!

But I have found one little problem with the bakery scents… Being surrounded by wonderful cake smells makes me really hungry! πŸ˜€

Oh if you do make an order for some of this lovely wax (you really won’t be disappointed) if you could leave a note with your order about finding out about them here that would be amazing! πŸ˜€

Grey Water Marble

Today I have these shiny silver studs from Born Pretty to show you!

born pretty nail art studs

Born Pretty Nail Art Studs

The studs are made from thin metal, they are really light and slightly flexible while keeping quite a domed profile.

I applied them by pressing them into wet topcoat. You could always use nail glue to apply them if you want them to be a bit more secure.

The studs are available here Born Pretty Triangle Nail Stud and you can get 10% off with the code RPG10!

The images on this plate are so pretty! πŸ™‚

Born Pretty BP-17

Born Pretty BP-17

The sparkly silver glitter polish I used as the base for this is Shooting Star from Rimmel London. it’s as lovely polish but It did need a couple of coats of Seche Vite for a smooth surface to stamp onto.

The stamping polish is Konad Special Polish In Black. I think my bottle is on it’s last legs, the image was really sharp and easy to pick up on the stamper but getting it onto my nail was another matter :/

I only kept going because 1. I’m stubborn and 2. Removing glitter polish is a pain in the butt!

I think I’m going to try this again but with a different stamping polish!
