Sleepy Owls – GOT Polish Brown

Hello!

Sleepy Owls MM38

Sleepy Owls MM38

Here are my brown nails for the final week of the GOT polish challenge.

I’m not a big fan of brown nail polish, so I only have a very limited number of bottles to choose from! The Brown polishes I used are

  • O.P.I – You Don’t Know Jacques!
  • Revlon – Hot For Chocolate
  • Maybelline – Sugar Crystals
  • Seventeen – Moonstruck
  • Out The Door Topcoat
You Don't Know Jacques! And Hot For Chocolate

You Don’t Know Jacques! And Hot For Chocolate

I started off with a couple of coats of the O.P.I polish, then I stared at it for a while I had no inspiration what so ever… so I added the gradient with Hot For Chocolate, after it was all dry, cleaned up and top coated it was still “meh”

I think the phrase that sums this up is “You can’t polish a turd, but you can roll it in glitter!” A thick coat of Sugar Crystals later and it wasn’t looking so nondescript.

The image is from plate MM38 from Messy Mansion, I think the little owls are really cute!

Patchwork Skin Halloween Nails

Hello! 🙂

Patchwork Flesh Halloween Nails

Patchwork Flesh Halloween Nails

Today I have some Halloween nails inspired by the… Ummm… Sewing skills of Ed Gein and the fictional Buffalo Bill from Silence Of The Lambs.

Halloween Skin Suit Nails

Skin Suit Nails

  • Butter London – Yummy Mummy
  • O.P.I – Tickle My France-y
  • Ciate – Pocket Money
  • Color Club – Nomadic In Nude
  • Revlon – Emerald City
  • Sinful Colors – Inkwell
  • Color Club – Earthy Angel
  • Barry M – Nail Art Pen Black
  • E.L.F – Matte Finisher
  • Seche Vite

I started out with a couple of coats of Tickle My France-y, then I added the patches of the other nude colours. When it was dry I used the nail art pen to add the stitches then applied a coat of Seche Vite.

Then with a tiny piece of sponge I added a mixture of Inkwell and Emerald City mixed with topcoat over the stitches to give it a bit more of a ‘dried out skin’ look!

Robot Nails

Hi! 🙂

Robot Nails

Robot Nails

Today I have been inspired by Robots!… Well not so much robots but pretending to have robot fingers while I was using the foil method to take off the glitter from my last mani lol!

My nails are a bit to long to use the Bundle Monster plates now :/ so I decided to have a go at stamping over a ruffian.

For this I used

  • Barry M – Black
  • Seventeen – Moonstruck
  • Barry M – Black nail art pen
  • Stamping plate BM 415
  • Seche Vite

Starting with a base of Barry M black, I then applied Moonstruck over the top. When it was dry I tidied up the edges with the black nail art pen.

For the stamping I used Konad SP black and my marshmallow stamper, I had a bit of difficulty with the image, I think it’s because it’s not etched very deeply… Ugh it was a pain :/

But after a lot of swearing and repeatedly using tape to remove the image when it went wrong, (which it did, a lot) I eventually got it finished. 🙂

GOT Polish – Copper

Hello! I have some really sparkly polish to show you for the GOT Polish challenge today.

China Glaze Glitter Goblin

China Glaze Glitter Goblin

Glitter Goblin is a really sparkly copper and scattered holo polish! Glitter Goblin is from the 2012 Halloween Wicked collection.

I used 2 coats of glitter goblin over black, then a coat of SV as the glitter felt quite textured.

The stamp is MM05 from Messy Mansion! and for the image I used Konad special polish in black. I finished it off with another coat of SV.

So Sparkly!

Pumpkins!

Hello! I have pumpkins to show you today! I finally managed to grow some this year 😀 and I’m celebrating with pumpkin nails!

Orange Glitter Pumpkins

I’m sure it’s not too early for Halloween nails! 😀

My Pumpkins

My Pumpkins

Here are my pumpkins! 😀 Apparently I have to leave them to cure, until the stems are all dry and fall off! I better find some nice recipes!

The sparkly orange polish I used is called Shirley Temple and that’s from the Cocktail Colour collection from Rimmel London, it took three quite thick coats until I was happy with the coverage. Even tho I’m not the biggest fan of orange nail polish but this actually doesn’t look too bad it could be the glitter or maybe it’s the Halloween stamp lol!

The pumpkin image is from Messy Mansion plate MM22.

After editing the photos and writing my post I have only just noticed that my ring finger nail the stamp is the wrong way round! Ooops!

GOT Polish Challenge – Indie

Hello! 🙂

Belle Glamour Discoball

Belle Glamour Discoball

For the GOT polish challenge this week I have chosen to use Discoball from Belle Glamour, It’s a polish I have used a few times but for some reason I haven’t shown it to you all on here,  which is very odd because it’s absolutely stunning!

DiscoBall is a densely packed with micro holographic glitter in a clear base, it took two coats to be opaque!

look at the sparkles!

Here it is out of focus so you can see how amazingly sparkly it is!

The stamping plate I used is from Pet’la Plate. These are really lovely plates from Hungary which have deeper etching than a standard stamping plate!

I really like the geometric pattern of this stamp (even tho I messed up my little finger nail a bit) 😀
