Steel Of The Night Magnetic Polish From Color Club Swatch

Steel Of The Night Magnetic Polish from the Magnetic Force range.

Steel of the night magnetic polish

Steel of the night magnetic polish

This polish really surprised me by how good it is! I haven’t had much of a chance to play with magnetic polishes by other brands so I can’t really compare it with anything.

After a bit of practice, I found that for the best result came from applying one thin coat, leaving it to mostly dry, then applying a thicker coat and quickly hovering the magnetic lid over the nail. I found that on my thumb nails I had to rock the lid from side to side, so the polish at the edges of my nail would react to the magnet.

The formula for this polish is very nice, it flows very smoothly, but it does take a bit longer to dry. The polish is a very standard metallic grey when you first put it on, but hold the magnet to it and it transforms to black, gunmetal and silver stripes that look like they are moving!

St Mark’s Square

St Marks Square

St Marks Square

This is a really nice lilac foil, really nice to apply, good consistansy and flow from the brush, fast drying, not as much pigment as I would like but it is a very pretty colour, this was two coats.

Clifford Street

Clifford Street

Clifford Street

Clifford Street is a lovely dark purple grey creme with gold iridescent glitter, it is lovely to apply, really nice consistancy, good amount of pigment, the gold glitter adds depth to the polish. there was some dragging while I was applying this polish, this was two coats that dried quickly.

Old Bond Street

Old Bond Street

Old Bond Street

Old Bond Street is a lovely mid grey with pink shimmer.  this is a really lovely polish, such a shame it is a limited edition it is great to apply and fast drying,

Franklins Row

Franklins Row

Franklins Row

Franklins Row is a dark purple with purple and blue iridescent glitter and blue shimmer. This is an amazing colour, so sparkly! This was three coats it has a slightly sticky consistency probably from all the glitter the flow from the brush is much slower and so is harder to apply than the others.

Cheyne Walk

Cheyne Walk

Cheyne Walk

Cheyne Walk is from the Mirror Metallic range it has a pink/purple metallic finish this too 3 coats. It is a very pretty colour, easy to apply, but slower drying than I would like.

Oxford Street

Oxford Street Matte

Oxford Street Matte

Oxford Street is a matte black this was one coat dried in a matter of seconds, a bit tricky to apply because it dries so quickly, but this is a fantastic matte polish, it states on the bottle that this won’t last as long as the other Nails Inc. products. Unfortunately this is a hard to find limited edition! It has lots of pigment so was very messy to remove.

Deborah Lippmann I Fought The Law (Punk Rock Collection)

I am not the biggest fan of textured polishes, but this one I like, it’s not as sandpapery as some of the other brands. 🙂

Scorn

Illamasqua Scorn

Illamasqua Scorn

This lovely Black has a wonderful satin finish, It is my favorite black polish! it dries in minutes and lasts for ages! I used one coat! with no base or top coat.

Baptiste

Illamasqua Baptiste

Illamasqua Baptiste

This is a lovely metallic dark purple, it’s almost a duo-chrome it’s so shimmery (almost but not quite) it has a very high gloss finish! This took two coats again with no base or top coat!

Propaganda

Illamasqua Propaganda

Illamasqua Propaganda

Apparently this polish is getting quite hard to find, I’m so glad managed picked this up when I did! This is a very dark blue jelly it’s almost black and incredibly high gloss, the formula for this is good but it does tend to drag if you are not really careful when applying it. This was 3 coats  in daylight 2 coats would be fine but my camera was picking up every brush stroke :/

Faux Pas

Illamasqua Faux Pas

Illamasqua Faux Pas

This polish has a rubber finish, it is a lovely mid purple with a grey base for some reason it is looking more violet from my camera. This was two coats the formula is really lovely, no streaking or dragging and as with all Illamasqua polishes it dries really quickly!

Snap

Illamasqua Snap

Illamasqua Snap

This is a lovely metallic shade, it has so much shimmer that i would say its close to a foil! this was one thin coat with no base or top coats, I have found that this is a really good polish for stamping!

Poke

Illamasqua Poke

Illamasqua Poke

I absolutely love this colour! It’s a bright purple with silver shimmer and a satin finish, the formula flows really smoothly, it dries really fast and it lasts (on my nails) all week!

Here are some Barielle Shades swatches.

Coalest Day Of The Year Swatch

Coalest Day Of The Year Swatch

Dark grey shimmer with silver micro glitter. Applying this polish was lovely, I would describe the colour as a rich gun-metal. It has a good amount of pigment and enough shimmer as to not be overpowering but stopping it from looking flat. This is two coats and the drying time was really quick!

Blackened Bleu Swatch

Blackened Bleu Swatch

Blackened Bleu.

Blackened Bleu.

Dark grey jelly polish with fine dark blue glitter formula quite thin but with a high glitter content, there was some streaking but that was mostly covered with the final coat. I applied three rather thick coats this polish luckily dries quickly!

Out-Grey-Geous

Out-Grey-Geous

Out-Grey-Geous Swatch

Out-Grey-Geous Swatch

Grey frost with gold micro glitter. As with most frost finishes the formula for this one is quite thin, It took 3 coats. But is easy to apply, the gold shimmer and micro glitter adds depth and warmth to the polish.

Night Moves Swatch

Night Moves Swatch

Barielle Night Moves

Barielle Night Moves

This is a fantastic bright silver foil the formula was extremely easy to apply, very good coverage, no streaking or dragging at all, very glossy finish! I think this polish will be added to my favorites! 🙂

Starchild Swatch

Starchild Swatch

Starchild is a clear base with different sized hex holographic glitter. This is one rather thick coat over the top of Coalest Day of the year. It took a little bit of dabbing to get the glitters evenly spaced out, but I didn’t have to go digging
about or chasing the glitters around in the bottle 🙂
