Hello! π
This is my inspired by a tutorial post for day 30, The tutorial I decided to follow is this rather amazing one that I have been meaning to try for ages.
Nimbus Nail Art From The Nailasaurus!
The polishes I used are
- China Glaze – White on White
- Chanel – Vendetta
- China Glaze – Get Outta My Space
- Revlon – Amethyst
- China Glaze – Bizarre Blurple
- Sally Hansen – Good To Grape
I found that the Nimbus technique is really fun! And definitely something that I’m going to try again!
I started out with a couple of coats of white on white as the base, then starting with Vendetta which is the darkest polish I used a cotton bud soaked in acetone and polish to dot on the colour.
When each colour was dry I repeated the process (with a new cotton bud for each colour)
Then I finished it off with a coat of Seche Vite!
I couldn’t resist doing a bit of stamping over this π
I used Plate MM07 from Messy Mansion, this is the first time I’ve used this plate and it’s really lovely! I used Konad SP Black then another coat of Seche Vite
I had better take this off and get on with the final post for the 31dc challenge! π

Wow, those turned out very well. π So pretty. I tried the technique once and…not so good! I basically created a giant remover-and-polish slop pile on my nails. It’s like, “No, no, this CAN’T be right, right?”

Aw thank you! Oh noes! π¦ did you use remover or acetone? I first tried with remover and it was a disaster!

Acetone. It was my first attempt, though, and I think I used colours that were just too dark – they didn’t want to blur out into that watercolour-type look at. all.

I had the opposite problem! All the dark colours I tried where too pale, so I kept trying to add more… It didn’t end well…
